THE ROMANCE

  • Your initial meet. How did it happen?

Viresh and I met at our workplace. The very first day I saw him, there was something special about him. so as we spoke we became good friends at first.

  • Who made the first move? How?

It was Viresh wink Both of us happened to work on certain projects and workshops together, so we got to spend more time together organising things for the department. Those became our common topics which gradually lead to very candid conversations. After a couple of months of just chatting we both knew there is something more between us.

Our colleagues at the workplace, especially Minuri from my side and Jehan from Viresh’s think they felt it before us and they started bugging us and talking on behalf of us. Which gradually lead for us to be confirmed as to what we feel.

  • What was your first impression about your spouse?

My first impression on Viresh was his name and his height. I thought that he has a very nice name. Viresh is 6.3 ft tall so I was really impressed by that. Quality wise I really admired the fact that he is very nice to everyone starting from the very top level to the bottom. He is also a person with a great heart and who is very passionate about everything in life.

  • In what ways are you most alike?

We are both foodies cheeky

  • What's your most memorable date? Why?

It was our first date at Water’s Edge. It is very memorable as it was our first outing together in a beautiful evening having a candlelight dinner.

  • Three things you love and hate about your partner.

I love that he is very passionate about his work.

I love that he is a great human being

I love that he has a lot of patience

I do not hate anything about him.

THE PROPOSAL

  • How did the proposal happen?

It happened in a way that I never expected. On the day before my birthday in April 2017 we had a Bolgoda outing with our friends as my birthday treat and from morning till evening, we were there jetskying, eating and having boat rides.

It was a fun day but very tiring. After everything was over we got home late night and Viresh went back to his place and sharp at 12 midnight when I was in my pjs Viresh appeared all dressed up with a cake, flowers and to my surprise a ring! He proposed to me that night, as I always had the answer in me.

I said yes.

  • If the proposal was a surprise, on a scale of 10 how well did it go?

It was a surprise. on the scale of surprise level it was 10/10 but on proposal level, as i was in my pjs I was complaining him a lot that he could have told me something so that I would have been dressed to say yes cheeky

  • What are you most looking forward to as Mr. and Mrs.?

I am looking forward to a life filled with beautiful adventures and memories with Viresh and to share every moment with him irrespective of whether it’s happy or sad.

THE WEDDING

  • Most memorable moment from your wedding?

I think it was the going-away. It was mixed emotions leaving your family behind and going to start a new chapter with the love of your life.

  • If you could describe your wedding day using one word, what would it be?

AMAZING!

  • What's been the most fun detail of your wedding to plan?

The most fun detail that I got to plan was our wedding cake structure. we had the entire retinue placed in the cake as sculptures. Everyone loved it!

  • What's been the most difficult detail of your wedding to agree upon?

I think none of the details were difficult to agree upon. I had the full freedom in the decision making. Well if you have watched the tv series “friends” as Monica says that every girl has their wedding planned and dreamed at a very young age, I think that’s very true. I had a vision and a dream as to how one day my wedding should be like. So it was just a matter of executing it.

LIFE AFTER

  • Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We went to london. It was a lovely experience. We both still miss the time we had together in london.

  • What is your idea of, “and they lived happily ever after”?

The idea of “lived happily ever after” for me is been there for each other no matter what.

  • What has surprised you the most during the first few weeks/months of being married?

That Viresh has a lot of patience.

  • Who’s good at forgetting and better at forgiving?

I think we both take turns in that, I really think it’s very important in every relationship. You should only remember the things that makes your love stronger and everything else you should simply forget and continue to love each other.
