Located in a hideaway in Duplication Road, Bambalapitiya is a brand new showroom namely “Oak” which has an array of décor items which is ideal for Marawa displays but can also be suited for any party for display purposes. 

Firstly, for those who don’t know, ‘Marawa’ is an assortment of gifts exchanged between the bride and groom’s family in a typical Muslim wedding. These gifts consists of an array of luxury attire fit for the groom & bride, unlimited sweets and fruit displays, branded accessories and perfumes. 

“I started oak with the intention to create something unique and re-usable without it being overpriced” says Usman Zafrullah, owner and founder of Oak.

The product range is quite vast and elegantly displayed. Ranging from tiered stands, trays, platter lifts which are sure to enhance the lavish look of marawa décor and also be used for table setting décor and much more. The products price start from Rs. 500  which is by far most feasible considering the product as an investment for later use as well.

Usman futher added that oak undertakes “custom orders for small-medium sized items, the minimum order being 10 pieces. Following an advance we will have a sample ready in a minimum of two weeks

Oak also goes out their way in undertaking marawa box arrangements that will leave you one less item in your wedding agenda to handle. For a mere price of Rs.750 per box, and with precise planning and communicating, Oak is equipped in fully handling your complete marawa needs.

Customers can place orders through their social media handles or visit their showroom in Bambalapitiya. “We also offer delivery services within a time of 3-4 days” Says Usman. This is one of the first showrooms exclusively dedicated for marawa décor in Sri Lanka.
